Big plugin update: introduce your tools to desktop, web, and mobile - all at once
Multi-platform plugins are now live in cTrader, letting creators build tools for desktop, web and mobile. The category is still empty, installs come fast and monetisation is coming, making this the best moment to launch and gain long-term visibility.
We are releasing the biggest update to plugins in the history of cTrader Store.
For the first time, you can create multi-platform plugins that run seamlessly on desktop, web and mobile.
This unlocks an entirely new audience, especially mobile traders who are among the most active users in the ecosystem.
If you have ever wanted your tools to reach all platforms at once, this is your moment.

What is new: plugins now come in two types
From now on, the plugin ecosystem is simple:
- Plugins - the general category that includes everything
- Multi-platform plugins - plugins that work across all three platforms (desktop, web and mobile)
Multi-platform plugins are built with standard web technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You create a small responsive website, host it anywhere, paste the link into the plugin builder and it becomes a plugin that is instantly available across all devices.
⚠️ You may still encounter the older term “WebView plugins” in the Help Centre while we update our documentation. It refers to the same feature and will be fully replaced by the name “multi-platform plugin”.
If you want to review the complete build workflow for multi-platform plugins, you can find the step-by-step guide here. It explains how to structure your project, prepare your layout and publish your plugin across all supported platforms.
If you want to see how traders add multi-platform plugins directly from within cTrader applications, you can review the step-by-step workflow here. This helps you understand how your plugin will appear and be added inside the platform on desktop, web and mobile.
This is a fully released and production-ready feature. There is no experimental status and no pre-release limitations.
The only restriction for now is that multi-platform plugins cannot yet be made paid. Monetisation will be introduced later.
Build your multi-platform plugin now
Early plugins get unmatched visibility
The multi-platform plugin category is still almost empty.
This means:
- installs arrive quickly
- users are keen to try new tools
- reviews appear naturally
- you reach "Most popular" much faster
- and once you are at the top, it is hard for others to overtake you

This is the same dynamic that once helped Moss become one of the most successful sellers on the platform.

He entered early, offered free tools, collected thousands of installs and now his products dominate the rankings.
Today, multi-platform plugins are in a similar early stage.
If you publish now, you are entering the golden window before the category becomes crowded.
Monetisation is coming and early movers will benefit the most
Even though multi-platform plugins are free for now, monetisation is on the roadmap.
When it arrives:
- you will not need to create a new product
- you will keep all your installs
- you will keep all your reviews
- your plugin will already be ranked higher
- your product will have stronger credibility and better conversion
In practice, you are building future revenue potential today.
Plugins that enter early will remain on top when paid features become available.
Users are already engaging without promotion
Some of the earliest multi-platform plugins have already collected organic reviews.
This is happening without news, advertising or dedicated promotion from our side, simply because the category is fresh and interesting to traders.
It is a rare moment when small and simple ideas can perform extremely well.

Ready to launch your first multi-platform plugin?
Start now to secure early installs and rapid visibility while the category is still wide open. Early plugins stay on top long-term.
What you can build today
A multi-platform plugin can be any responsive web-based tool, for example:
- trial versions of your bots
- lite versions of indicators
- mobile-first dashboards
- signal panels
- market trend overviews
- simplified trade execution panels
- educational or analytical widgets
- tools integrated with OpenAPI
- compact versions of tools that previously worked only on desktop
Plugins can read user data, receive live quotes, send orders, modify positions and subscribe to events. This gives you full trading capability.
With multi-platform plugins, you can finally bring your desktop-only functionality to mobile in a clean and native way.

If you want to see how traders install and use multi-platform plugins in the cTrader Store, you can review the installation flow here. This helps you understand exactly how users will access your plugin once it is published.

What you cannot do yet
Because monetisation is not active for multi-platform plugins:
- they cannot be set as paid
- you should not embed or advertise paid store products directly inside your plugin
- you should not show your store product catalogue
- you should not create direct sales flows inside the plugin
- you should not include authentication or login forms
- you should not include card data input forms, links to payment methods or any purchase-related flows, including Apple Pay, Google Wallet, coupons or discounts
In addition, plugins must comply with the terms, conditions and policies of the platforms they run on, including the App Store, Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, Amazon Appstore and APK distribution providers.
The plugin must provide real value on its own, inside the plugin experience.
Multi-platform plugins as a B2B storefront for brokers
This is one of the strongest long-term opportunities.
Multi-platform plugins are not only tools for traders.
They also act as a B2B showroom for brokers who:
- look for unique features
- buy ready-made tools
- embed these tools for their entire user base
- request customisation or exclusivity
- are ready to pay premium prices
This is a well-established practice in the trading industry.
Typical market ranges for institutional deals may look like this:
- around 20k-80k USD for simple analytics
- around 80k-150k USD for advanced dashboards
- from 150k-400k USD and higher for AI-powered or signal products
- large proprietary systems can reach even higher figures
A strong multi-platform plugin is essentially your business card for B2B clients.
Because:
- it works on mobile, which is extremely valuable for brokers
- it can be distributed automatically to all of a broker’s users
- access can be restricted or exclusive
- it can be adapted to the broker’s brand and setup
If a broker notices your plugin and likes the concept, it can easily grow into a commercial deal.

An example of a multi-platform plugin designed with broker needs in mind
Some multi-platform plugins clearly demonstrate the type of value brokers often look for. Trading Room is one such example. Its structure, clarity and applied analytical approach make it a strong reference point for understanding what a broker-facing plugin can offer.
Clear and actionable technical analysis
Trading Room provides market analytics based on technical analysis. A team of experienced analysts monitors market trends, identifies patterns with strong potential and presents each idea with a defined price forecast, an expected timeframe and a short explanation of the pattern. This helps traders understand market conditions quickly and confidently.
Live charts that show market context
Unlike many traditional analytics services, Trading Room uses its own financial chart to display analysis in live mode. Traders can see how a pattern formed and assess the surrounding context without switching tools. This creates a smoother and more transparent decision-making experience.
Built-in execution and global reach
The plugin supports trade execution directly through its interface, which keeps the workflow simple for traders. It is also available in 13 languages, making it suitable for a wide and diverse audience.
A practical access model for brokers
The plugin offers limited content for free. Full access is unlocked automatically for traders whose brokers partner with the Trading Pro team. This model demonstrates how a multi-platform plugin can deliver immediate value to traders while offering brokers a clear and scalable service structure.
