The story explores how launching early, without chasing an ideal version, helped reveal real demand.

Success story #11: Higor Fernando - how his first cBot got 15 sales in the first month

Ideal product or a needable one? Higor did not spend time trying to build an ideal product before launch. Instead, he released an MVP risk management cBot and reached 15 sales within the first month. Since then, he has continued improving the tool and releasing updates, refining it based on real feedback and results. This approach highlights how launching early can help identify real demand.

Background and trading path

Higor Fernando is 31 years old and comes from the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. In the trading community, he is known as Heeger. He started trading CFDs in 2015, focusing on Forex, Gold, and indices.

He was introduced to cTrader in 2018, and since then it has become his primary trading platform. Higor is not a professional developer. He started coding out of necessity and curiosity, building tools to better match his own trading workflow.

Outside of trading, he practices swimming, mountain biking, and running, activities that help him maintain discipline, focus, and balance.

Building the first product

Throughout his trading journey, Higor consistently felt the lack of a risk management solution that truly matched his workflow and mindset. In late 2025, he decided to build his own.

“I felt the lack of a risk management solution that truly matched my workflow and mindset.”

Alongside the public tool, he has developed several private bots and custom indicators tailored to his personal strategy. While he has not yet decided whether to release them publicly, this process shaped his approach and ensured that the tools he shares are practical and battle-tested.

RiskManagement was published on December 5, 2025 as an initial version created to test the Store rather than to drive sales. The response came faster than expected. On the very first day, the product recorded three sales. Within the first month, it reached 15 sales organically.

An update followed on December 24, and further improvements are already in progress. Early feedback confirmed real demand and motivated Higor to continue refining the tool and keeping it actively updated.

RiskManagement

RiskManagement automates position sizing and risk calculations directly on the chart. It allows traders to define risk in percentage or fixed values and instantly translates this into volume, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels, reducing manual work and execution errors.

The tool is built around interactive chart controls. Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit lines can be adjusted visually, with floating panels showing real-time values such as price, pips, profit or loss amount, balance percentage, and risk-to-reward ratio. All values update instantly as levels are moved or market conditions change.

To help traders evaluate his Risk Management plugin safely, Higor prepared a built-in trial designed to demonstrate its value while keeping clear boundaries.

Higor has already switched RiskManagement to the cTrader Store’s new feature, the built-in trial setup. The paid product now includes a demo mode, which allows previously separate free and paid apps to be merged into one tool.

Higor also prioritizes transparency. Trial limitations are clearly described, and buyer questions are treated as part of the product experience, encouraging traders to reach out via the product’s discussion area for guidance on the intended setup and parameters.

Why cTrader

Higor’s choice of the cTrader Store was driven by long-term trust in the platform and daily use within its ecosystem. He highlights the role of platform support as an important part of his experience, especially when dealing with technical challenges.

“I chose the cTrader Store because it’s part of an ecosystem I genuinely trust and use daily. The support from Spotware has consistently exceeded my expectations, and the specialists have always been extremely helpful in resolving technical challenges along the way.”

Final thoughts

Higor’s approach to building tools reflects the same mindset he applies to trading. Starting with an MVP and improving it through real feedback mirrors his focus on discipline, consistency, and respect for risk rather than chasing ideal conditions.

“Over the years, I learned that trading is much less about prediction and much more about self-control, consistency, and respect for risk. For me, trading is not about control over the market, but control over myself. The tools I build are simply reflections of that philosophy.”
