Success story #10: Jonas Weber – over $4,800 in sales from tools built for trading without overtrading
Focused on execution rules and predefined risk limits, Jonas Weber develops trading tools that continue to attract steady sales on cTrader Store.
Jonas, known on the platform as Jo+Jo, develops trading tools built to limit overtrading and enforce strict execution rules in live market conditions. His cBots focus on precise entries, reduced trade frequency and predefined risk limits, helping traders follow a structured execution process instead of reacting to market noise. Today, his tools have reached close to 50 sales and generated over $4,800 in cTrader Store sales.

Beginning of the journey
Jonas Weber began trading as a retail Forex and Gold (XAUUSD) trader with a small account, focusing on chart analysis, strategy testing and risk management. Over time, he found that discipline, consistency and execution mattered more than searching for optimal setups. This led him to experiment with automation.
At first, Jonas began developing cBots and indicators purely for his own use, as a way to control risk, reduce emotional decisions and manage trades more efficiently. His first bot was released as a free product on cTrader Store and unexpectedly reached more than 400 downloads within a single month.
Shortly after publishing it, I went on vacation and didn’t even check the Store, but when I returned, I found many support messages and thank-you notes from traders. Since the bot was designed for live trading, several users actually made money with it.
That moment marked a turning point, showing that the project could develop beyond a personal setup and into a professional trading tool.
First products and principals
Encouraged by this experience, Jonas Weber released his first paid product, designed specifically for Gold (XAUUSD) trading. Unlike many experimental tools, it was already fully completed and carefully tested at the moment of its release. The response was positive and confirmed that traders were looking for practical and well built automation tools rather than overly complex systems.
This tool stands out because it was built as a stand alone, precision focused solution for Gold trading. It filters market noise, focuses on high quality entries and places strong emphasis on risk control and psychological discipline. The goal is not overtrading but helping traders execute calmly and consistently without emotional pressure, reflecting challenges Jonas had previously faced in manual trading.
About a month later, he released another product focused on Forex pairs, which attracted increased attention from users. From there, his development process continued to grow naturally, guided by real user feedback, real trading conditions and the same risk management principles applied across his own tools.

Why cTrader Store
Jonas chose the cTrader Store because it offers a transparent and professional ecosystem for both traders and developers. He values the clean publishing process, genuine user feedback and a community that prioritises quality over hype. What he appreciates most is that the platform supports developers who want to build real tools for real traders without unrealistic promises.
“When I read success stories on the cTrader Blog about developers growing from small personal projects into trusted sellers, I see a path very similar to my own.”
